Pilot, your Titan will be ready in 2…weeks? That is right folks. Titanfall may have dropped for the the Xbox One and the PC, but it will be a while before Xbox 360 users will be able to drop a titan. The 360 release for the game has been pushed back an additional two weeks or more, depending on where you live. So what does the 360 release date delay mean for gamers? Is this all a ploy to sell even more Xbox Ones, which have already jumped up 96% in the UK just in one week.
Titanfall has definitely proven successful on the Xbox One. The system has seen a surge of sales, with a 96% increase in the UK.
However, The games scheduled port for the Xbox 360 has been pushed back to April 8, in the US, and April 11, in the UK.
Executive Vice President of EA Studios, Patrick Söderlund, released a statement to the press about the delay, writing:
“I’ve been playing the game a lot, and it is fantastic. But we see a few things that can be made even better, so we’re giving Bluepoint a little more time to do just that and deliver an epic Titanfall experience for Xbox 360 players.
"Titanfall for Xbox 360 will now be releasing on April 8 in North America, and beginning on April 11 in Europe. The game will feature the same 6v6 gameplay, maps, modes, weapons and Burn Cards as the Xbox One and PC versions of the game.”
So the question remains, is this all just an evil ploy to boost Xbox One sales? The answer is who cares. No matter how long you wait, you will undoubtedly not be getting the same Titanfall experience on the 360. At some point we will all have to start living in the future. The new Titanfall Xbox One bundle might just be the best invitation to join the modern age out there.
