Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is taking another week off tonight, but for a very good reason this time. Instead, the network will air an all special hour long feature, Marvel Studios: Assembling a Universe. The promotional special will feature new preview several upcoming Marvel projects, including, Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier, The Guardians of The Galaxy, and Avengers 2: Age of Ultron. The show will also offer a sneak peak at what is store for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Tonight’s new special, Marvel Studios: Assembling a Universe, will not serve as retrospect of the last seven years, but also a look at what the studio has planned for the future. The hourlong special reportedly plays like a glorified behind the scenes feature.
According to a press statement the special will feature a first look at the upcoming Avengers sequel, as well footage from the rest of the Phase Two offerings, giving fans a, “front row seat to the inception of Marvel Studios, the record-breaking films, the cultural phenomenon, and further expansion of the universe by Marvel Television.”
Speaking of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Thor himself, Chris Hemsworth, recently spoke about the movie, as I Am Rogue reports:
“Everything in [Age of Ultron] is ramped up though. It kind of blew me away reading [the script]. I don't know how Joss does it, but everyone has gone up another notch and the whole thing is bigger and more exciting and crazier. Yeah, he's a genius.”
Be sure to check out the all new special, Marvel Studios: Assembling a Universe, tonight at 8:00 P.M. on ABC.
