Tonight is the night, the 100th episode of the hit musical series Glee. The show is planning to celebrate in a big way by bringing back some of it’s biggest guest stars. Among those returning to Lima High tonight will be Iron Man 3 actress, Gwyneth Paltrow and Broadway legend, Kristin Chenoweth.
Tonight, the smash hit Fox musical comedy/drama, Glee reaches the landmark, 100th episode. The plans for the final season of the show have been drastically changed following the death of lead actor, Cory Monteith, a.k.a, Finn Hudson.
Finn was reportedly supposed to take over as the new coach of New Beginnings for the series finale. Now following Finn’s death, the glee club is heading in a “New Direction.” All of shows storylines will be moving to New York.
Paris Barclay, the director of the event episode, spoke with US Weekly about how tonight’s episode will honor Finn:
"There is so much feeling there and it affected the Glee family in such a profound way, and you can expect it to be dealt with in the 100th episode. It definitely comes back and is dealt with in a significant way."
Barclay also went on to discuss the show’s two huge returning guest stars, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kristin Chenoweth:
"The two of them together are hysterical. They have a lot of scenes together, and I think they will be clamoring for a spin off after this! The have great chemistry, and they are incredibly funny."
Broadway legend, Kristin Chenoweth also spoke to E! News about returning to the musical series:
"I get to do a lot with Gwyneth Paltrow. We are reprising our guest starring roles and that makes it really fun. We're having a good time."
