‘Archer’ New Episode Preview After Seasons 6 and 7 Renewal

Good news for fans of FX’s animated series, Archer. The hit cartoon comedy has been picked up for two more seasons. The new order will keep the show running at least until 2016, with season 6 and 7. Check the report below for more info on the renewal as well as a preview of tonight's new episode. Meanwhile, you can catch up on past seasons with new episodes recently added to Netflix.

Last week it was announced that FX has renewed the hit animated comedy Archer for two more seasons.

FX president of original programming, Eric Schrier, recently released a statement to the press about the show’s two season renewal:

Archer is one of the best comedies on television and has played a significant role in the growth of the FX comedy brand, We’re grateful to Adam Reed, Matt Thompson and their team at Floyd County, and also our incredible voice cast, and are looking forward to supporting their work for at least two more seasons.”

However, you wont have to wait until next season for new episodes of Archer. There are plenty of new episodes left this season, including tonight’s new showing, titled, “The Rules of Extraction.” The official plot synopsis for the new adventure reads:

“Lana and Pam plan a spa day for Malory. Meanwhile, Archer, Ray and Cyril raft down a crocodile-filled river.”

It seems that Archer’s theme shift to the Vice plot is paying off. Earlier in the year, The voice of Archer, H. Jon Benjamin, spoke to The Daily Beast about the plot twist:

“When I first heard about it, I was psyched. We take it on the road, and so much crazy shit happens this season. It’s insane. It’s like Breaking Bad meets Miami Vice.”

Be sure to check out the brand new episode of Archer: Vice, when it airs tonight at 10:00 p.m. on FX.
