The Blacklist is back tonight! After taking one week off for the premiere of J.J. Abrams new series, Believe, now the darkhorse drama starring James Spader is back with an all new episode tonight, after The Voice battle round one. Check the report below for a preview of tonight's episode as well as the season finale air date.
Clear out some space on your DVRs because The Blacklist is back. The hit series left us wanting last week, with the premiere J.J.Abrams’ Believe stepping into its timeslot.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s brand new episode, titled, “Mako Tanida,” reads:
“Red targets a past associate, a crime lord who then seeks revenge after escaping from prison. Elsewhere, Tom confronts Jolene.”
The season one finale air date has also been announced for May 12. However, have no fear, the series will return for a second season fall this fall.
Rob Greenblatt, NBC’s Chairman, announced the series renewal early on its run, stating:
"The success of The Blacklist demonstrates that inspired storytelling is alive and well in broadcast television, and I'm impressed on a daily basis by this creative team's imagination and the extent to which they will go to capture this grand vision on film.With gratitude to both our partners at Sony Pictures Television and our NBC development executives who took a great script and shepherded it into a great series, I hope that Red Reddington never runs out of names to bring down on his list!"
The show will also be back on next week, with a brand new episode titled, “Ivan.” The plot synopsis for next Monday’s new episode, previews:
“A high-tech cyber defense asset is stolen, with clues pointing to a Russian terrorist as the guilty party. Meanwhile, Jolene's vanishing sheds light on mysteries involving Tom.”
