Evan Ross and Ashlee Simpson recently got engaged in Hawaii, but if it were up to Evan. they would be married right now. Ross' mom Diana is helping the pair plan their perfect wedding, but the 25-year-old actor, who claims to want 10 kids, says the pair are ready to get married today.
Evan Ross is ready as he'll ever be to get married to love of his life fiancé Ashlee Simpson, and he doesn't care who knows it.
Evan told E! that his famous Motown mother was helping them plan everything, but he is more than willing to get married just as soon as the possibly can:
"My mom is helping plan my wedding right now...She's involved in all levels of my life. She's one of the most incredible mothers ever.
"My mom is 69 and she's going on tour again. She was on tour last year and even going tour, she's involved in every piece of our wedding [and] engagement party.
"Honestly, we could go and get married right now, wherever.
"We just want to be married. We're in love. This is the most incredible time I could ever think of in my life and I'm young, but the same time, I've lived a different life than most and I can't think of a happier moment."
Evan told E! that he has been crazy for Ashlee since the moment they first met, and the only reason he took so long to propose, was he didn't want to freak her out:
"I was giving it time only because I wanted to give it time, but I would have asked her a month after I was with her.
When it comes to kids, Evan says that ultimately it is Ashlee's decision, but he want to stop somewhere just shy of baker's dozen:
"It's up to Ashlee, but I want to have a lot of kids. I grew up with...10 siblings."
When you realize Evan has ten brother and sisters, it makes that fact that Diana is walking around let alone touring at age 69, sound like a Christmas Day miracle.
