Carrie Underwood and hockey husband Mike Fisher let the cat out of the baby bag by reportedly breaking the news to friends and family over the recent holiday season. While they might be working hard at getting that family started, that's not all the American Idol winner is doing. Rumor has it she found somehow found the time to record the duet "Something Bad" for Miranda Lamberts new Platinum album due out later this year.
In Nashville when you want a chart topping duet on you next album, you call Carrie Underwood, just ask Brad Paisley, so that is exactly what Miranda Lambert did before heading to the studio to work on her new 'Platinum' titled album.
According to CMT, Carrie and Miranda have already laid down the new track for Lambert's upcoming new release:
"Early reports surrounding Lambert's new album are that she has a duet with Underwood called "Something Bad.""
Apparently Carrie amped up country energy was exactly what Miranda needs for her new powerhouse push she is planning with this record (via CMT):
"We're really rocking in country music and we're coming together as a force.
"To me, like, if you're sitting on the front row, you might want to scoot back. It's a force. It just feels exciting to me. I'm ready to rock."
"I'm gonna burn your house down and kill you,' but more where I am as a 30-year-old woman and wife."
It's good to know that even though close friends have reported that Carrie is going to be focusing on her family more this year, it won't be all she focuses on (via Life & Style):
"Mike and Carrie hoped to get pregnant in 2013, but they decided to put it off.
"During the holidays they told friends and family that 2014 was going to be the year they had a baby. They are both finally ready now."
Well if Lambert was looking for the 30-year-old wife perspective, she couldn't have found a better match in Underwood.
