Equally full of praise was Chicago Tribune Arts Critic Howard Reich when he described one of the singer's performances. He said.
"Cecile McLorin Salvant lavished a glorious instrument-and plenty of humor and ample interpretive imagination...the sumptuousness of Salvant's voice creativity of her solos..."
After her New York gig the singer will travel to Gateshead, England where she will perform "A Tribute to Billie Holiday," at the Sage on Oct. 25.
Oct. 26 to 28 will see her perform at New Castle Upon Tyne in England at the Whitley Bay Classic Jazz Party 2012.
