There has been a new development in the life of Tori Spelling, who is rumored to be broke and undergoing a divorce. The reality star has apparently settled a multi-million dollar lawsuit, following rumors that husband Dean McDermott is guilty of cheating on her. Shortly after the claims, McDermott entered rehab for unspecified reasons.
Tori might not be as rich as she once was, but at least she isn't $60 million poorer, as she could have been if taken to trial. Radar Online has reported that Tori Spelling has settled with multiple producers, to prevent a court trial from taking place:
"Spelling was sued last summer by three producers who claimed that her production company and others had stolen the idea for her Oxygen reality show. After months of back and forth, the case was slated to go to trial on June 2, 2014. But Spelling and her co-defendants filed paperwork to dismiss the lawsuit in light of a settlement on January 21. The terms of the settlement were not made public, according to court documents obtained by Radar."
Tori may have stopped the multi-million dollar lawsuit, but that doesn't mean that her money problems are solved. In fact, an earlier Radar Report suggests that she is too poor to divorce Dean:
"Even with her new TV series, Tori is scared she won't make enough money to take care of the kids alone...With very little income coming in from Dean-especially now that he's in an expensive rehab-Tori is really struggling. She's so desperate for money that she's begging Candy [her mom] to help her out."
What do you think about the latest news? Was Tori right to settle or should she have fought it out in court?
