Zac Efron has made quite the name for himself over the years. Now it looks like he might be returning to his Disney roots one way or the other. Recently Efron revealed he was in talks for Star Wars Episode 7. Now he is talking about wanting to star in High School Musical 4.
Late last year, actress Monique Coleman, who played Taylor McKessie in the series, first put together a High School Musical reunion, tweeting:
"How cool would it be if the cast of #HSM came together for a reunion? Like real HS. It's almost been 5 years! Tell me it thoughts."
The film’s main cast all agreed to the meet, except for leading man Zac Efron.
Well it now appears that Zac wants to meet up with old fake high school friends, in a new movie. Zac recently told E! News about wanting to make a new instrument of HSM:
“We’re all thinking about it. I continue to see all the guys from High School. Every time we do…there’s just this look between us.It’s so cool because we never forget a single moment of that experience.[As soon as I see them] it brings you right back to those days.”
During a red carpet interview the Oscars, Efron talked to Ryan Seacrest about his possible involvement in the upcoming Star Wars film:
“Is it true? I don’t even know yet.” before adding, “I guess the force is with me tonight.”
Efron also revealed to MTV that he was in talks for a lead role in the movie a while back, stating:
“I just went and met with [producers]. So I don’t know. It would be cool. I love [the Star Wars movies], I love them, but … who knows?”
