J.J. Abrams’ highly anticipated and long awaited Star Wars Episode 7 is coming along nicely. The production recently announced that Girls star Adam Driver has been cast as one of the film’s villains. Now it has been reported that Breaking Bad star Jesse Plemons and Downton Abbey actor Ed Speleers are up for a role in the movie. Meanwhile, both Zac Efron and Gary Oldman have reported that they were in talks for the new film.
Remember the creepy, kid killing, meth dealing, and oddly polite white supremacist on Breaking Bad? Can you picture him with a light saber? Jesse Plemons, A.K.A Todd on BB, is reportedly on a short list for new movie.
Downton Abbey’s Ed Speleers is also reportedly up for the same role.
Recently during a red carpet event at the Oscars, Zac Efron spoke with Ryan Seacrest about the rumor that he is starring in the upcoming Star Wars film.
“Is it true? I don’t even know yet.” before adding, “I guess the force is with me tonight.”
Efron previously told MTV that he was in talks for a role in the movie a while back, stating:
“I just went and met with [producers]. So I don’t know. It would be cool. I love [the Star Wars movies], I love them, but … who knows?”
The highly acclaimed Gary Oldman has also confirmed that he is up for a role in the film.
