Pregnant Scarlett Johansson Opens Up About ‘Avengers 2’ Filming and Solo Black Widow Movie Update

Last week it was revealed that Scarlett Johansson was pregnant. That left many fans wondering what would happen to her role as The Black Widow in the upcoming Marvel movie, The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron. Now with Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier just a few weeks away from release, Johansson is opening up about how her pregnancy will affect filming. Meanwhile, there is new info about a Black Widow solo film.

The Captain America: The Winter Soldier press junket is in full swing. Scarlett Johansson spoke to Huffington Post about how her pregnancy will affect Avengers 2: Age of Ultron filming:

"Everything for Avengers 2 -- we're full steam ahead. We start shooting in three weeks and I'm stunt training and we're good to go. You know, I think it's something that is [laughing] hard to talk about, exactly. You know, trying to skirt around your question exactly [laughs] -- and, you know, doing a poor job of it. But, you know, like I said, everything is exactly on schedule….[Laughs] Everything is going just fine. The Black Widow always wins and will continue to."

Marvel’s president of production and profession tongue flapper, Kevin Feige spoke to SuperHeroHype during The Winter Soldier junket, about the possibility of an upcoming solo Black Widow Movie,

"I think the idea would be great. We've got various outlines and ideas of where to take that. As Scarlett already said, there's a big element that explores her back story in an upcoming Marvel feature. The question really is, 'When will we take her out of the ensemble and have her do her own thing?' As you saw in [Captain America: The Winter Soldier], as you'll see in Avengers: Age of Ultron, she's really the key to so much of the plot development."
