There are only three new episodes left of the hit USA series Psych. Fans of the show will also get the chance to say goodbye to the super popular comedy during the live Psych After Pshow. However, fans might not have to goodbye to James Roday for too long. Roday has been cast in a new comedy pilot for CBS.
In just two weeks, the season finale of Psych will air on USA. The Network President Chris McCumber first told fans about the end of the show, during a recent Q&A session with reporters:
"Psych has made an indelible imprint on the television landscape, with a unique brand of comedy. The final season celebrates the iconic characters that have made this show so beloved, and will be an exclamation point on the series' incredible run. And while the series will wrap in March somehow I don't believe we've heard the last of Shawn and Gus."
However there are a few new episodes left, before the show has to end. The official plot synopsis for tonight's new episode, titled”A Touch Of Sweevil,” reads:
"The speaker at a paranormal convention for police consultants dies under suspicious circumstances, forcing Shawn to launch an impromptu murder investigation."
Last year, James Roday spoke with Variety about the long running cable comedy:
“We were this tiny show on a network that was finding its footing. Nobody knew what or who we were. We tagged ourselves as underdogs and thought the only way we’d be able to push this thing uphill was to do it all together. That was a good attitude to have out of the gates, but it stuck. Now we feel like the Rudy of basic cable.”
Now Roday is getting ready to return to TV in the CBS pilot, Good Session. Roday will play the lead.
