Good news and bad news for Fox fans. The network recently announced a list of canceled and renewed shows. On the renewed side, there is the Golden Globe-winning series Brooklyn Nine-Nine, starring Andy Samberg and Andre Bauer. However, Raising Hope was not as lucky. The show will be canceled after this season’s one-hour finale.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine has officially been renewed for a second season. This is not surprising considering the show’s recent Golden Globes win. Back when the show was picked up for the back nine, Fox chairman Kevin Reilly doted on the series stating:
"It's exciting to see that both critics and fans love Brooklyn Nine-Nine as much as we do...With Andy and Andre out in front of this incredible ensemble, it feels like this show is going to be around for a long time."
Tonight’s all new episode, titled “Fancy Brugdom,” reads:
“Charles asks Jake to be the best man at his wedding, a role that requires Jake's involvement in planning. Elsewhere, Terry, Amy and Gina start a new extreme diet; and Rosa makes a genuine apology--with some assistance from Holt.”
Check out the all new episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine tonight at 9:30 p.m. on Fox.
However, Raising Hope was not as lucky as Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The series will not be renewed for any more seasons.
The show’s executive producer Mike Mariano announced the cancellation in a statement to the press:
"On behalf of myself,Greg Garcia and Raising Hope's amazing cast and crew, I would like to thank our audience for tuning in and supporting us over the last four seasons,We planned our Season Four finale with this possibility in mind, and hope our loyal fans enjoy the way we've chosen to say goodbye to the Chances and to Natesville. Thanks again, and we'll see you in syndication."
