‘Magic Mike 2’ Cast Update: Alex Pettyfer, Joe Manganiello and Steven Soderbergh Work; Channing Tatum Writes

With Magic Mike 2 still being written by Channing Tatum, the rest of the cast is working on different projects in the meantime. Alex Pettyfer made the chick flick Endless Love, while Joe Manganiello just completed an action movie with none other than former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Steven Soderbergh claims to have retired from film making, while his artistic update of Psycho has critics singing his praises as always.

Channing Tatum is still trying to work out all the plot details in his new Magic Mike 2 screenplay.

Just about everyone has reportedly signed up for the sequel, but that doesn't mean they are holding their breathes waiting for Tatum to work his script writing magic.

Alex Pettyfer dropped by Jimmy Kimmel's show and into his lap, to talk about his new movie Endless Love and join Jimmy in a duet of the song that shares the same name.

When Alex Pettyfer admitted to Kimmel that the original theme song, which is arguably the most memorable thing about the original movie, was left out of his new remake, the pair decided to sing the old school hit in protest.

Joe Manganiello told Entertainment Weekly that the purpose of violence and gore in his new movie Sabotage, staring none other than Mr. Terminator himself, was to all about mood and realism to the picture, and was in no way an excuse for some sort of juvenile wish fulfillment:

"David Ayer [the director] likes it dark. He likes it nasty.

"But] the violence in the movie is taken from what's actually going in that world.

"The things that are done to people are gruesome and scary."

He must be referring to Alex Pettyfer's late night duet.
