Julia Roberts' Sister Nancy Suicide News: Drunk at Oscars with Cate Blanchett; Eric Guest Stars on 'Justified'

Julia Roberts wants people to know that she has been an emotional wreck since her sister Nancy Motes took her own life earlier this month. But some people are questioning the sincerity of her grief following the suicide news. After telling friends she was too upset to go to the Oscars, she showed up with bells on, and instead of acting distraught, she got drunk with Cate Blanchett. Big brother Eric is making a guest appearance on the FX network's Justified.

Julia Roberts has made a show of looking sad and upset at times following her sister Nancy's suicide, but those close to Motes claim that Julia's grief is a joke.

Not so claims a friend of Robert's in the Mirror, who says Julia was so upset she almost didn't even go to the Oscars:

"Julia has been dreading the thought of appearing in public again with people asking what dress she's wearing and superficial stuff like that.

"But she's trying to hold it together for the sake of her family."

"Julia is upset people might think she played some part in her sister's death."

Friends of Nancy's fiancé John Fracshetti knows that Julia is responsible, and no doubt isn't surprised that she partied her tail off getting hammered with Cate Blanchett instead of mourning her sister's tragic demise.

According to remarks in the Daily Mail, Mr. Fracshette claims that Julia and her family never loved or respected Motes the way they should have:

"They are crying crocodile tears. They have taken control of this situation, but they never cared for her when she was alive.

"And then you get the actress woman who is pretending to grieve but she didn't want to deal with Nancy and made her f***ing miserable.

"[Nancy] couldn't stand the rejection of her mom, who in the last six months had cut her off entirely.

"It hurt her that none of her family wanted to be with her. She had a miserable Christmas, truly awful, and I think she just couldn't handle it."

You think with the talent that she has, Julia Roberts would do a better job of acting like she cares that she drove her sister to kill herself.

She must not have had enough time to prepare for the role.
