Arrow is one of the hottest shows on TV right now. The hit CW series is constantly bringing in elements from the DC Universe, and adding it’s own twist to them. Now the Arrowverse might be slipping into Batman territory, with two of the caped crusader’s villains rumored to make appearances. Both the Joker’s partner in crime, Harley Quinn, and The Demon Head, Ra’s al Ghul, might soon be coming to Starling City.
Fans have noticed a nice little Easter Egg in the preview for next week’s new Arrow episode, “Suicide Squad.” Hidden in the background is an A.R.G.U.S. prisoner who very much resembles Squad member Harley Quinn.
Check out the trailer and see if you can spot her.
Comicbook.com recently spoke with Arrow Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim about the Harley Quinn theory to which he replied:
“This tickles me no end. I’ll tell you two things:
"1) this is NOT the special announcement --that’s episode 219 and this is 216
2) to paraphrase Aaron Sorkin: “There’s gonna be an episode of Arrow. I’d watch.”
The special announcement is a reference to the supersecret title for episode 219.
There is also the little matter of the League of Assassins. Slade Wilson himself, Manu Bennett, recently spoke with MTV where he let slip that Ra’s al Ghul is coming:
"He's not going to be able to beat me up on his own, which means he'll have to call on numbers,When the numbers thing starts happening, the war escalates, and it's all about numbers. We'll see the introduction of the Suicide Squad. And Ra's al Ghul... These guys have all been seen on the periphery. Starling City is about to become a battleground."
Do you think Bennett accidently said too much or was he merely referring the League of Assassins in general? Let us know in the comment section below?
