Are you a geek? Do you dream of playing with little mini Sheldon Coopers and Peter Venkmans in a Tardis? Well, now is your chance. The Big Bang Theory and Dr. Who have both been introduced for production on the voting site Lego Cuusoo. Meanwhile, a Ghostbuster Lego Set has officially been announced.
Brick builders dreams are coming true thanks to Lego Cuuso. The website allows users to build dream Lego sets that are voted on. If a project reaches a certain amount of supporters, it could become realized.
However, many fans were disappointed when their Dr. Who sets were banned, until now. The official Lego Cuusoo website reports on lifting the licence ban:
"Sometimes we have to turn down project submissions that refer to specific brands or licensed properties. We do this to avoid getting your hopes up for something we know we aren't able to make. In these cases, we already know the Lego Group can't secure licensing rights to produce construction toys based on a particular brand or property, due to a conflicting interest with a third party. If such a conflict goes away, we'll then be able to accept projects based on a particular brand or license….If your project was previously turned down, archived, or deleted due to a licensing conflict that is now resolved, you may re-submit it as a new project. Supporters from past projects cannot be applied to a future project. We now welcome projects based on the following licenses that used to have conflicts: Doctor Who--February 2014."
A Big Bang Theory set has also been submitted. You can also vote on what shirt you want to see Sheldon in.
Meanwhile, a commemorative Ghostbusters' 30th Anniversary set has been announced. The project reached the 10,000 supporters it needed to be submitted for approval. The official website announced that set is being produced, stating:
“It’s not every year a pop culture classic like Ghostbusters has a big anniversary, so the team here at LEGO CUUSOO has been working overtime to make this set available as soon as possible. 21108 LEGO Ghostbusters will be available for purchase in June 2014 for USD $49.99 / CAD $59.99.”
