Miley Cyrus Trespasser Gets 18 Months in Jail

According to Eonline.com Jason Luis Rivera the man who came on to the Miley Cyrus' property last month in September with scissors in hand has been convicted of misdemeanor trespassing and resisting arrest.

The 40-year-old man came onto the Hannah Montana star's property on Sept. 8 when the actress was not home reportedly looking for the young star but was thwarted by another individual in the vicinity near the starlet's home when they saw him and contacted the police.

When the authorities came Rivera claimed to be the Cyrus' husband. In court Jason Luis Rivera pleaded not guilty to charges filed against him last month. Since his September arrest he has been in custody bail was set at $100,000 unable to pay Rivera was been now sentenced to 18 months in jail according to the Los Angeles Times.

The Daily News reported that Rivera told police he was a friend of the young actress and repeatedly threw himself an outside wall as if trying to break in. Lt. Brian Wendling told E! News after Rivera's arrest "I would say delusional is a good characterization of him."

This isn't the first time Cyrus has found herself embroiled in controversy. At numerous point of time in her young career she has been at the center of some incidents for example in 2008 the star's phone was hacked into revealing photos that weren't meant to be seen by the public.

Miley Cyrus was born in Nashville, Tennessee to a famous father in Billy Ray Cyrus. She began her career on the popular Walt Disney show Hannah Montana and was giving the starring role.

Cyrus now 19 recently got engaged to actor Liam Hemsworth an Australian actor who starred in the 2012 blockbuster film the Hunger Games.
