Engaged couple Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross are madly in love and reportedly ready to get married and pregnant just as soon as they can get all the details worked out. Evan, who is the son of Motown legend Diana Ross, is facing a few issues with his family, however. According to rumors, they are insisting that Ross needs to get a prenupt to protect his sizable fortune or break off the whole deal.
Evan and Ashlee had been close be each other's sides before they got engaged in Hawaii, but since announcing their engagement, like a Magic 8 Ball and it's primordial blue fluid, the pair have become practically inseparable.
And according to a friend close to the betrothed in Life & Style, Ashlee and Evan are just as excited to have a baby together as they are to get married:
"Evan says he real never wants to be without her for the rest of his life...He said he can't wait to have kids with Ashlee. And he even loves Bronx like his own son."
And on the surface, it seems like the family is eager to have Ashlee become a part of the family, as well.
Evan's sister told the NY Post that the family was sold on having Ashlee as an in-law:
"I'm really happy to have her join the family...We just spent Christmas with Ashlee and her son, Bronx. Ashlee's son is the same age as my son, so they play together."
But the truth is that Ross' family is only willing to accept Simpson is she accepts the conditions of Evan's prenup, according to reports in Star.
Ashlee, though only 30-years-old, has virtually retired according to the source in Star and has to be provided for by the extremely wealthy:
"Ashlee doesn't have a career anymore. She borrows money for Jessica, who supports the whole family."
It doesn't matter who his mama is, go ahead and sign that prenup girl. No way he can cut you off once you have that baby.
