Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher are adding fuel to the pregnancy rumors bonfire, by reportedly telling friends and family that 2014 is the year they plan to update their family with the arrival of a new baby. But making babies isn't the only thing that's on their minds, the couple is also fighting slavery via their Twitter feed.
Carrie Underwood, who is devoting the next few years to growing her family, and hockey player husband Mike Fisher wants people to know they support slavery abolishment.
Nashville's power couple let the Twittispere know that slavery isn't cool by throwing up their fists in solidarity on Shine a Light on Slavery Day, part of the End It Movement February 27.
"Help us shine a light on slavery tomorrow by wearing a red X! We're in it to end it! #EndItMovement"
End It Movement is dedicated to the absolute worldwide end of slavery in our lifetime according to their mission statement:
"Let's be the generation to stand up for the 27 million men, women and children trapped in slavery around the world today. In brothels. In factories. In mines. On street corners. In homes. In the shadows, hidden.
"Yet out in broad daylight, in plain sight here in America. Stand with us. Raise your voice. Use your influence. Join the fight for FREEDOM."
Underwood's representatives at Group 19 are also no fans of slavery in any form, and they are determined to get all the wages withheld from their American Idol clients reports the Hollywood Reporter:
"19 recordings was founded by American Idol creator Simon Fuller and is now controlled by the show's owner, Core Media Group.
"In the lawsuit, 19, and by extension all of the artists--including Kelly Clarkson, Clay Aiken, Carrie Underwood and Chris Daughtry--who have entered into deals as part of their participation on Idol, claim that Sony Music has been systematically robbing them of millions of dollars in royalties.
"The lawsuit, seeking at least $10 million in damages, was filed after 19 exercised the right to audit Sony's books pursuant to recording agreements, and the parties couldn't come to any settlement."
