First 24 was brought back to life Live Another Day, then it was announced that Heroes was being Reborn. So what is next ...Firefly? Maybe? One of the show’s producers has expressed interest in the new limited series reboot concept. Meanwhile, Nathan Fillion fans might also be seeing the star reprise his role as Captain Hammer in the allegedly upcoming, Dr. Horrible 2. In the mean time, you can catch Fillion in all new episode of Castle tonight.
The crew of the Serenity might soon fly again. Firefly writer and producer Tim Minear recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly about possible bringing back the show for a limited run:
“I would never foreclose the possibility. The fact that it was even a feature film after it spectacularly failed on Fox was a miracle. And of course it lives on in other forms. In terms of getting the band back together to make a new adventure, who knows? I would love it. It would be great. But first everybody has their respective projects that limits them from crossing over into other things. It’s just trying to coordinate everybody’s obligations so they could somehow participate.”
For years now, fans have been begging the Whedon clan for a follow up to their cult hit musical, Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog, starring Neil Patrick Harris and Nathan Fillion.
Jed Whedon recently released a statement to Entertainment Weekly about the current status of the sequel:
“We have many songs written and the plot outlined, but needless to say, we’ve been busy. Joss has had a hectic couple of years and is in the middle of the busiest year of his life, as is Zack and as are we,”
Meanwhile, you can definitely see Fillion tonight on an all new Castle on ABC. The official plot synopsis for the brand new chapter, titled “ In the Belly of the Beast,” reads:
“Beckett lands in danger when she goes undercover to assist with a narcotics investigation. As she battles wits with threatening underworld figures, she encounters an adversary from her past.”
