‘Frozen’ Idina Menzel and Taye Diggs Divorce Update: Sings “Let It Go” at Oscars; ‘If/Then’ Broadway Debut

Idina Menzel has been busier than ever since she and husband of the last ten years Taye Diggs announced they were getting a divorce. Thanks to her animated Disney hit Frozen soaring up the music and movie charts, as well as an Oscar nom for Best Song from a Movie, Menzel is in increasingly high demand. Though she is preparing for the Broadway debut of her new musical If/Then, Idina is flying in from New York to perform her hit song "Let It Go."

Idina Menzel is all set to perform her runaway hit Frozen this Sunday at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood for the Academy Awards ceremony.

According to the L.A. Times, Idina will be will in good company among the night's other powerhouse performers:

"Singers performing the other nominated songs on Sunday's telecast will include pop stars Karen O, who will perform "The Moon Song" from the Spike Jonze movie "Her"; Pharrell Williams, performing "Happy," from the animated feature "Despicable Me 2"; and the group U2, performing "Ordinary Love," from the movie "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom."

Regardless of who wins, Menzel has to hop back on a plane and be in NYC by Wednesday so she can return to preparations for her reprisal of her role If/Then that she played last year in Washington, D.C.'s National Theater.

Set to officially open March 30, at the Richards Rodgers Theatre, the musical has been described by Menzel as a sort of mid-life coming of age story (via Inquirer):

"It's a beautiful piece, It's 100-percent original, and it's about a woman my age who comes back from Phoenix, Arizona, to New York City, where she went to school. She's getting a chance to start over. The music is just beautiful."

No doubt Idina Menzel will wow lucky audiences in L.A and on Broadway.
