Fast and Furious 7 is set to resume filming in April, but Tyrese Gibson fears that it will be rough without fellow cast member Paul Walker, whose autopsy showed he was alive, if not conscious, immediately following the tragic car crash. Tyrese admits that his recent trip to Dubai has not driven all the demons out of his head. Kurt Russell, on the other hand, has already mentioned that he would like to sign up for Fast 8, after they finish this one.
Filming on Fast and Furious 7 is set to resume in April, but that might be a little too soon for cast member Tyrese, who thinks Paul Walker's absence will still be very distracting and painful.
Gibson told Access Hollywood that it wasn't going to be easy, but he knows Paul's spirit is looking on approvingly (via EnStars):
"It's probably going to be a rough couple of days because we're not going to look to the left or right and see our brother but he's there in spirit."
"We all miss Paul. I'm still messed up about the whole situation but that's my brother, and we're family, so we're going to keep it rocking."
Tyrese also admitted that he knows whether or not Walker's character dies in the film or retires, but if he told you he'd have to kill you:
"I do, but I can't go into it. I can't speak on nothing. It's all being figured out. It's an uncomfortable process but it's all being figured out."
Kurt Russell seems less sure of the details than Gibson, but one thing is for certain Kurt assures IGN, if his character lives, he'd love to come back (via Den of Geek):
"The character has been purposely been treated in a certain way so that he can [return] or can't. The 'can' will be an interesting stretch. It works, because I understand what it is and we came up with it.
"It's like, 'Oh, wow! That's cool!' If he doesn't, then he doesn't. If he gets killed, he gets killed. That will be for them to determine.
"I just wanted to be able to work with them making the best possible character to either be sad he doesn't move on or say, 'Yeah, I want this character to move on - we need this character to move on.'
"I've been told April, maybe May, maybe Dubai, maybe Atlanta, maybe LA."
What do you think? Should they kill off Kurt's new character? Or should they have him become a franchise staple? Let us know, in the comment field below.
