Collecting vinyl, for whatever reason, has resurfaced as a popular pastime--maybe even a science. Even more so, vinyl covers and sleeves are becoming artwork in and of themselves once again.
Designer Rodrigo Maio reimagines recent albums in the style of old jazz covers, which he consigns to his Tumblr blog New Records Old Covers.
His works feature "bright colors in minimal palettes, large shapes and play on text orientation to give a new look to familiar records."
Some of his recent creations include Jeff Buckley's Grace and Explosions in the Sky's All of a Sudden, I Miss Everyone done in the same fashion as jazz albums of yore.
Here are a few for your own computer screen. And do be sure to keep up with Maio on his website.
