'50 Shades of Grey' Movie News: Christian Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson NEW Roles? [UPDATE]

Major news today is coming from the set of the upcoming 50 Shades of Grey movie. Both Charlie Hunnam, who once signed on to play Christian Grey, and Dakota Johnson, who is portraying Anastasia Steele, could have been best known for two other roles.

Charlie Hunnam may no longer be associated with 50 Shades of Grey, however, it was recently revealed that Charlie was once considered for another blockbuster role.

Rumor has it that the actor once found himself on the short list to play Thor. International Busniess Times was among the first to report the revelation, adding:

"Before [Chris Hemsworth] landed the coveted role, other Hollywood hunks were considered to play the famous hero including Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam and True Blood actor Alexander Skarsgard."

Even if Charlie had been offered the role, he would have likely just walked away from the project. After all, Charlie did abandon the coveted role of Christian Grey just weeks before the movie was set to begin filming.

One person who did stick with the role is Dakota Johnson. Though 50 Shades of Grey is nearly a year away, fans will get to see Dakota on the big screen before the mommy-porn novel comes to life, as E! News explains:

"There's no denying that Aaron Paul and Dakota Johnson have natural onscreen chemistry, based on this exclusive clip of Need for Speed. It's also one of the last times we'll see Johnson hit the big screen before she debuts her highly anticipated performance in Fifty Shades of Grey."

Anastasia Steele's new film will be coming out just weeks after filming wrapped on the set of 50 Shades. This leaves fans eagerly awaiting an official trailer from the producers.
