New rumors suggest that Princess Kate Middleton is pregnant and going broke. According to multiple tabloid reports, the duchess and her alleged baby bump will soon be bankrupt.
Kate Middleton has found herself on the cover of two popular U.S. tabloids this week. Most recently, she graced the cover of OK! Magazine, where it was revealed that she and Prince William are running out of cash, as one source claimed:
"[William and Kate] aren't as rich as you think. They don't own all those castles and big old houses. Most of them belong to the nation. The houses are massive and some of them are literally falling apart-and they have to pay for the upkeep out of their budgets."
These are the same sentiments echoed by Margaret Hodge, chair of the Public Accounts Committee. She even offered a few words of advice to the royal family:
"The household needs to get better at planning and managing its budgets for the longer term--and the Treasury should be more actively involved in reviewing what the household is doing."
Of course, the biggest news surrounding Kate comes from Star. The tabloid quotes a source as revealing that Princess Kate is pregnant with her second child, a daughter:
"Little George is getting a sister, and Kate is absolutely thrilled. She was really hoping the next child would be a girl, and having it confirmed has just given her the best start to the year, Kate and William are ecstatic."
Kate isn't the only one overjoyed with the baby bump news. According to the same insider, William is beyond thrilled with the latest developments:
"William was ecstatic! He couldn't stop hugging her. He was actually a little surprised, because he was convinced it would be a boy. In his head, he was expecting a brother for George, because he himself grew up with a little brother...He knows his mother, Princess Diana, would have been overjoyed."
