The candid "Things Called Jazz That Are Not Jazz" Tumblr irreverently posts some of the more brash branding techniques geared towards marketing the idiom to an, err, wider demographic?
Who knows, really.
Branding makes little sense to me, and these inane products make even less sense.
From aerosol caps to apples to non-alcoholic beer (which I think might be the most "jazziest" of them all), the term "jazz" seems to be sucked up and regurgitated to make these things sound a little more exciting.
Jazz excites, jazz invokes creativity...but does it fly you to Canada?
Perhaps it's a keyed entry lock from Schlage?
Again, no one really knows, but do take a gander at some things that are trying to be jazz--but aren't jazz, of course.
Thanks so very much, thingscalledjazz.
