Seth Rogen to Write Nintendo Vs Sega Movie, ‘Console Wars’ After AMC ‘Preacher’ Show

Leno Vs Letterman, Pepsi Vs Coke, Mary Ann Vs Ginger, Leno Vs O'Brien...None of these epic battles for pop culture supremacy have anything on the bout between Nintendo and Sega. Now Superbad super-team Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are making a movie about the battle for your childhoods. The pair will be helming an upcoming Pirates of Silicon Valley-esque film about the Console Wars. Meanwhile, the pair is also working on AMC’s latest project, DC Vertigo’s Preacher.

Seth Rogen has to be one of the most productive stoners of all time. The Neighbors star has a slew of new projects, alongside his long time writing partner Evan Goldberg. However, just because the man has a good work ethic, doesn't mean he didn’t waste some time playing video games back in the 1990s.

Now all that not-so-hard work is about to pay off. The pair is working on a new project about the battle between Nintendo and Sega, called Console Wars. The film is an adaptation of the upcoming book Console Wars: Sega, Nintendo and the Battle that Defined a Generation, by Blake J. Harris’s.

That is not all Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are up too. The pair is gearing up to helm AMC’s new series Preacher, based on the DC Vertigo comic.

Rogen and Goldberg released a joint statement to the press about working on the new show:

"This is amazing! We've tried for seven years to work on Preacher and we're so psyched AMC is finally letting us. It is our favorite comic of all time, and we're going to do everything we can to do it right. Humperdoo!"
