Madison Square Garden will play host to on Wednesday, Nov. 28 the "Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddess," a show that will is based on Nintendo's video game "The Legend of Zelda," with the show set to be begin at 8 p.m.
According to the program notes at Madison Square Garden this is the first ever video game themed concert to feature a complete four movement symphony, showcasing the work of Nintendo composer and sound director Koji Kondo.
Kondo will be accompanied by the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra on the night. This creation of Nintendo was created to celebrate the decades in which the game has been in circulation.
Before the show gets to New York its first stop will be in Dallas,Texas at the Annette Strauss Square on Oct. 12 followed by a performance in Boston, Massachusetts at the Wang Theatre on Oct. 18.
Chicago will play host to "Zelda," at The Chicago Theatre on Oct. 25. After which the show will travel to the aptly named Majestic Theater on Nov.03. On Nov.06 the Nintendo production will makes it away to Calgary,Canada at the Southern Jubilee Auditorium before stop in New York as mentioned before on Nov.28.
The show's listings ends on its official website with two shows in Florida. First of which is at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach on Dec. 8 while the other show will take place in Miami at the Arsht Center. Dec.14 will see the climax of the show for now in the United States when the event moves to the San Jose Civic in San Jose, California.
For those unaccustomed to the "Legend of Zelda," series, it is a Nintendo video game created by Shigeru Miyamoto, Takashi Tezuka and Eji Aonuma and was first released in Japan on the Family Computer Disk System in 1986. It features a young hero called "Link," who tries to save a princess called "Zelda," in a mythical land called "Hyrule."
