Bam Margera Twitter pictures leads to an apology

Star of MTV's Jackass Bam Margera has apologized for a picture he posted on Twitter of him holding a pitbull puppy while pointing a gun at the dog with a note saying "If she goes poops one more time she goes Bye Bye."

Margera quickly distanced himself from the incident telling the Philadelphia Inquirer that the gun was a fake in an interview at his Pennsylvania home.

"Just hurting another animal is rude, crude and more," said Margera. The Jackass member reinforced that it was "a joke."

Margera told the Philadelphia Inquirer he doesn't own a gun and has only ever fired at a clay pigeon at a supporting event.

"I feel like every follower I have on Twitter knows my Jackass joking kind of humor," said Margera. This is the first time Margera has been in trouble with the law.

Bam Margera is known for his shock value antics and can be associated with the likes of Jackass's Stephen Gilchrist Glover better known as "Steve-O" and Philip John Clapp also known as "Johnny Knoxville."

Margera can be linked with numerous amounts of shows to go along with the Jackass series. He was given his on show by MTV in 2003 called "Viva La Bam." Margera was a host on a few occasions of MTV's "Punk'd" and appeared on Adult Swim's "Loiter Squad," as a special guest star.

Earlier this year in May, Bam Margera had to undergo emergency hernia surgery after he stunted off a 100ft cliff in a kayak.
