Fast and Furious 7 star Paul Walker, whose autopsy revealed he was still alive immediately following the initial trauma of his tragic car crash last year, got his final wish this week, when his father was named executor of his estate per his will's wishes. New addition to the cast, Kurt Russell, said he is still waiting to be updated about whether or not his character will be in the sequel Fast 8, but it seems Kurt is down to return.
Paul Walker stated in his will that he wanted his father to be sole executor of his estate in the event of his death.
A court judge ruled this week that in fulfillment of his wishes that is exactly what is going to happen.
According to TMZ, Walker's father Paul Walker Sr. will be in charge of his son's $25 million fortune, while who will ultimately have custody of Paul's now very wealthy daughter Meadow has yet to be determined:
"A judge approved Paul's request to make his dad executor this morning in Santa Barbara court...The issue of Meadow's guardianship was not raised in court.
"As we reported, Paul specified in his will that he wanted his mother Cheryl to become Meadow's guardian in the event of his death. He made no mention of Rebecca.
"Meadow's guardianship will be determined at a later hearing -- for now, she's living with grandma."
Kurt Russell recently revealed that he still has some shooting to do for his new role in Fast and Furious 7.
Though Kurt isn't 100 percent sure when they film or where they will filming, or even if he character is going to live or die, but he is sure if asked he would love to do it again (via Den Of Geek):
"I've been told April, maybe May, maybe Dubai, maybe Atlanta, maybe LA.
"The character has been purposely been treated in a certain way so that he can [return] or can't. The 'can' will be an interesting stretch. It works, because I understand what it is and we came up with it.
"It's like, 'Oh, wow! That's cool!' If he doesn't, then he doesn't. If he gets killed, he gets killed. That will be for them to determine.
"I just wanted to be able to work with them making the best possible character to either be sad he doesn't move on or say, 'Yeah, I want this character to move on - we need this character to move on.'"
Of course, with Kurt's age being what it is, the studio may opt to drop the character, as not to have another repeat of this film's off-screen drama.
