October will see violinist Joshua Bell tour Europe with eight more stops for the remainder of the month. Bell will make stops in basically a new city every few days before he returns to the United States at the end of the month where he is due to play in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at the Kimmel Center For the Performing Arts on Oct.25.
Bell's next European destination will be in Bratislava, Slovakia at Reduta on Friday, Oct. 12 where he will perform Beethoven's "Symphony No.1," along with Bruch's "Violin Concerto" and Mendelssohn's "Scottish Symphony."
On Oct. 14 he will be in Birmingham, England, at the Birmingham Symphony Hall where he will be playing the works of Beethoven Bruch and Mendelssohn once again. Oct. 15 will see the violinist in Zurich, Switzerland at the Zurich Tonahalle where he will feature the works of those three composers.
Bell will be in the United Kingdom for two days afterwards on Oct. 16 and 17. The first day will see him play at Cadogan Hall on Oct.16 in London, England and then on following day the violinist will be in Cardiff, Wales at St. David's Hall. The work of Beethoven, Bruch and Mendelssohn will be on offer at both venues
His European run for October will end with a trio of performances in Spain starting Oct.19 and ending a few days later on Oct. 21. Madrid's Auditorio Nacional will be the venue where Bell will perform Bruch's "Violin Concerto." The Orquesta Nacional de Espana conducted by David Afkam will be joining Bell on the day.
The next time the Grammy Award winning artist will be in Europe is on Dec. 7 in Paris France at the Grand Theatre of the Maison de la Culture d'Amiens.
