Fangirls everywhere collectively flipped out when the English-Irish boyband The Wanted announced that they were breaking up earlier in the year, Now member Siva Kaneswaran is speaking out about the reasons behind the split and his future solo career.
Siva Kaneswaran may never be a household name. Mainly because most people don’t know how to pronounce it. However, the singer has big plans for his future now that his boyband, The Wanted has called it quits.
Kaneswaran recently spoke with celebrity blogger Perez Hilton about just why the band broke it off:
“Honestly all I know is that we were on a phone call together and we all agreed--everyone voiced their opinions on how they all wanted to do their own solo things and from that, we released statement--so that's all I know."
He later added that the break is just a break and that the band will be getting back together, unless one of them Timberlakes:
"I think in the agreement we had, we'll come back together when we all naturally felt like we'd all come back together. But The Wanted never split up, we never really split up."
Kaneswaran, looks at the break as long awaited blessing. The soon to be solo-artist is ready to blossom into his own person. He went on to talk about his future plans:
"I'm just really excited about having that break because we've been together for four years and it's been a long time in each other’s pockets. And I'm just excited to have the opportunity to work on me and I love to write. I'm going to write my ass off and I can't wait to record some of my own music and I'm really into the indie sound and I might go down that road. And I just can't wait to work with different artists and producers. I just want to go crazy and be me and I want the fans to know and to see more of me. I've always had attention from fashion brands and they keep on giving attention and I had to tone it down before because I was 100% committed to the band. But now I've got time to go for it really, so why not? We have our time, so why not go for it?"
