It is an exciting time to be a former Nick star...Unless you are Drake Bell. Two cast members from the hit series Victorious have both moved away from the network to take on killer new roles. Avan Jogia, the actor who played the easy going Beck on the series, has a new show on ABC Family called Twisted, airing after Pretty Little Liars. In the show, Jogia plays a young teen who was just released from prison for killing his aunt. Meanwhile, Victoria Justice is going to be busy catching killers in her new series, Eyecandy.
Tonight is an all new episode of the new ABC Family series, Twisted. In the new show, Jogia plays Danny Desi. Last year, Jogia spoke to Teen Vogue about his new role:
“It's set around a kid who, after being in juvie for 5 years because he murdered his aunt, gets out and goes back to his high school. He tries to reconnect with this two best friends in order to try to get back to the life he had before he made such an awful mistake. But then someone at the school gets murdered and everybody blames him...On the surface, he's charming, charismatic, and funny. He's a magnetic kind of person but you see, as the series goes on, that he's really covering for something inside himself--whether it's something dark, like he's a sociopathic murderer, or whether he just has demons.”
The official plot synopsis for tonight's new episode airing at 9, reads:
“‘Home Is Where the Hurt Is.’ Things get tense for Danny and Lacey as the homecoming dance looms. Meanwhile, Jo tries to help Andie and Rico get together; Danny recognizes someone who's linked to his past in juvenile hall; and Tess struggles to keep secrets from Kyle.”
Victoria Justice’s new upcoming show, Eyecandy on MTV has been picked up for a ten episode run.
