Arrow is breaking new ground week in and week out, introducing some of DC’s best, as well some buried, treasures. The show has even spun-off a sister series, The Flash. So of course there would be talk the TV stars would be playing opposite Batman and Superman in an upcoming Justice League movie.
DC may be lagging behind Marvel in the movie biz, but the company is going strong on the small screen. The hit show Arrow is spinning off into a new series based around The Flash.
Arrow and The Flash series creator and executive producer, Greg Berlanti, recently spoke with the NY Times about being the answer to Marvel’s Joss Whedon, to which he simply replied:
“No one’s discussed that with me.”
The comments Berlanti made echoes a similar statement that he made to Fandango about the possibilities of crossing over with the DC movie universe:
"We haven’t had any of those conversations other than to say, what characters are we allowed to use this year and advocate or request certain ones that are of interest to us. And every now and then, they’ll say, ‘You can’t have that guy.’ They don’t say why, and we figure out why later on."
However, Stephen Amell would gladly like to reprise his role in an upcoming Justice League film:
"I'd sweep their floors. Any opportunity to be a part of the Justice League movie as Green Arrow or otherwise, it would be really exciting, but it doesn't have to be a movie. We are doing a--we're working in concert with DC and the better we do, the more successful our show is, the more opportunities we're going to get to perhaps have members of the Justice League on our show."
