Good news for Randy Travis fans. The legendary singer is reportedly doing better since his near death illness last year. The singer has made his first public appearance since being hospitalized. A new photo of Travis out and about has been released. Meanwhile, a new song demo from Travis has also recently been released.
Fans of Randy Travis were very worried, when it was announced late last year that the singer had fallen back on hard times.
Late last year, Randy’s father Harold Traywick told the Enquire about how bad off his son was:
“Randy is still in very bad shape...It's possible he'll never perform again."
Recently spoke with Closer about Travis’ current condition:
“He’s getting his voice back now, little by little.”
Now fellow country music star, Neal McCoy recently Facebooked a picture of himself with Travis along with the captain:
“Randy Travis and I recently backstage before I went on, at a Smiles For Life concert in Dallas Texas. Pretty honored this was Randy's first time out and his first time to have Cowboy boots on since his illness.Gettin Better!!!”
Singer/songwriter Bonnie Paul recently released a demo version, of one of Travis’ previously unheard tracks, called “Childhood Sweethearts.”
Paul also tweeted about his Travis’ health, telling fans:
“Great Xmas news 4 y'all , my mom was actually talking with Randy on phone , sounds strong and wonderful and walking on his own.....”
Travis released a new album last last October titled, The Influence Vol 1: The Man I Am. Traivs spoke about the record on his website:
“When I think of my musical heroes of yesteryear, or the younger stars of this year, I am reminded that it is true we learn from the ones ahead of us, and teach the ones that follow. They are the reason I chose to make this album.”
