Danny DeVito & Rhea Perlman Divorce

Hollywood couple Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman has parted ways that sees the end of a 30 year relationship according to ABCNews.com on Oct.8.

DeVito and Pearlman met in 1970 at a Broadway event and got married in Jan. 28 1982. A marriage that saw the couple sired three children.

The couple although actors in their own right both shared the screen on a few occasions. Most famous was their on screen acting on the film "Matilda," in 1996 a film the actor directed and produced.

Some DeVito's recent work include FX's "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" and Universal Pictures' "Dr. Seuss The Lorax."

Perlman recent ventures have come in publishing while her CBS sitcom "Pearl," was very popular.

In a People Magazine interview in 1983 Perlman said that DeVito "was a lot more fun and a lot more sexy," than men she had dated in the past."

DeVito was born in Neptune, New Jersey and attended the American Academy of Dramatics where he graduated in 1966. A student of both the Colonnades Theater Lab and Eugene O'Neill Theater Center. DeVito's launching point to stardom came in the hit TV Show "Taxi," a showed that aired on both ABC and NBC from 1978 to 1983 where he played the character "Louie De Palma."

Perlman was born in Brooklyn, New York and got her career started in 1972 in a small part in Martin Brest's "Hot Dogs for Gauguin." Stardom came for the actress on the sitcoms "Taxi" and "Cheers," in the 1970s and 1980s.
