‘Arrow’s’ New Episode ‘Suicide Squad’ Line Up Announced, Diggle Joins Villains

Good news Arrow fans, the official lineup for the Suicide Squad has officially been revealed. The group of super villains-turned-reluctant A.R.G.U.S agents, also known as Task Force X, will be featured in an all new episode of the hit CW series. The Squad, headed up by Amanda “The Wall” Waller, played by Cynthia Addai-Robinson, includes: Shrapnel (Firefly’s, Sean Maher) Deadshot (Michael Rowe), The Bronze Tiger (Michael Jai White), Lyla Michaels (Audrey Marie Anderson) and Diggle?

That is right, Arrow’s trusty bodyguard John Diggle, played by David Ramsey, is joining the government-run group of supervillains on their deadly mission, alongside his archrival, Deadshot.

Andrew Kreisberg, executive producer of Arrow, spoke to reporters about Diggle joining the Squad during a recent CW press event:

"Dig was our way into Amanda Waller, and in this episode, Amanda comes to Dig and Lyla, and she recruits Dig for a mission, and tells him he's going to need a team--and she saddles him with the Suicide Squad, including Floyd Lawton [Deadshot]."

Firefly star Sean Maher the actor who plays Shrapnel confirmed his involvement in the episode a few weeks back when he told Comic Book Resources:

“I truly didn't understand who Shrapnel or the Suicide Squad were. That was all news to me. I had very limited knowledge of Shrapnel, but Andrew was amazing and forthcoming with a ton of information and pictures and the comics and all that stuff. He was the one who enlightened me.”

Meanwhile, yet another member of the Squad from the comics is joining the series. This Wednesday's return episode “Time of Death,” will feature the iconic Batman villain, The Clock King.

The brand new episode airs this Wednesday on The CW at 8. p,m.
