The ladies of The View cast are looking for some new blood to spice up their show and get them back in the rating race, and they don't care if it's a woman or Chris Harrison, just as long as Barbara Walters and Whoopi get some new help soon. According to the latest gossip news, that man/woman is likely to be Rosie O'Donnell or Chris Harrison from the Bachelor or both.
The View has been struggling to regain it's old position in the rating for months now.
The cast and producers are looking to bring in someone to shake things up a bit and get people watching once again.
One show insider told In Touch that there was talk political conservative Chis Harrison could make a nice firebrand edition to the panel of liberal leaning ladies:
"With [Fox's] The Real coming out this fall and CBS's The Talk it's going to be tough on the ratings. They need to do something to spice up the show...Chris was recently on as a guest co-host and everyone loved him."
Though if they are looking for on air fireworks, then perhaps they should bring back Rosie, who had a hell of a row with Elisabeth Hasselback back when they were on the show together in 2007.
An ABC's insider told Star that bringing back Rosie was becoming a more and more valid option:
"It was memorable television, and that's what The View is lacking--the magic of the show is long gone.
"But Rosie is must-see TV, and they're desperate to have her back, It would be a win-win for everyone, except maybe Jenny McCarthy."
But don't worry about Jenny McCarthy she can always take her clothes of for Hugh Hefner for a few hundred K every now and again.
Let's all thank god that is not an option for Rosie.
