Christina Aguilera is ready to try her hand at marriage again. Boyfriend Adam Rutler and Xtina got engaged Valentine's Day, almost 3 years to the day that her last divorce was finalized. Rumor has it the new couple was planning to move back east before having a baby, but Matt's mother has confirmed that Aguilera is already too pregnant to deal with the stress of a big move.
Fans of NBC's hit talent show The Voice have been speculating non-stop about Christina's reasons for letting Shakira take her chair for yet another year, while she takes off.
Now they have their unofficial answer.
Christina Aguilera is apparently ready for another round of matrimony and motherhood.
The 33-year-old former Disney star announced via Twitter that she boyfriend Matt Rutler had ended their courtship in lue of an engagement.
The Voice mentor posted a pic of her hand and the sizable new rock that adorned it followed by the caption:
"He asked and I said..."
Matt's mom Kathleen was a little less sparse in her word selection.
When In Touch asked about Xtina and Matt potential east coast migration, she told that magazine that didn't sound right to her with her daughter-in-law to be as pregnant as she is:
"[I've] been sort of told not to say anything...I don't know what their plans are, But when you have a baby, you're not planning on moving anywhere anytime soon!"
Kathleen Rutler wouldn't reveal anything about the scheduled date of the ceremony, but did tell In Touch that as far as she was concerned Aguilera was already family:
"We love Christina. She's [already] a Rutler."
Let's just hope she doesn't make her absence from The Voice permanent like CeeLo has done.
