We have good news and bad news for fans of The Vampire Diaries. Bad news is that there is no new episode tonight. However, the show will be back on next week with a new episode, and we have the plot preview. Good news is the hit CW series, starring Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder, has been renewed for a sixth season.
Like almost every other show on TV, The Vampire Diaries is taking a brief hiatus during the 2014 Winter Olympics. However, the show will be back next week with an all new episode.
The official plot synopsis for the episode, titled "No Exi,t" reads:
“Damon's behavior escalates from destructive to deadly. Stefan begins to regret their last conversation and tries to track Damon down and intervene. Meanwhile, Dr. Wes enlists the Travelers to set a trap that will test Damon's friendship with Enzo; and a talk between Caroline and Stefan leads to a horrifying realization.”
“No Exit” airs next Thursday, Feb 27, on the CW.
It should surprise no one that the smash hit series has been renewed for a sixth season.
President of the CW, Mark Pedowitz, announced the series renewal renewal, as well as the renewal for several other shows:
"This season we've had great success with our new hit series The Originals paired with Supernatural, giving us our best Tuesday nights in years. The Vampire Diaries is number two in its time period in the young adult demos, and with Arrow continuing to gain among young men, and Reign growing its time period, we now have strong nights on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I'm very pleased to announce early pickups for all five series, and let our fans know they'll have more great drama to look forward to next season."
