George Clooney Movies Update: Matt Damon Pranked; Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Fool Danny Ocean

Hollywood icon George Clooney has developed quite the reputation for practical jokes on the sets of the movies he is in, presumably in between the latest Darfur updates. Matt Damon was pranked so well that he almost accidentally developed an eating disorder as a result. So it was fitting the Angelina Jolie's hubby Brad Pitt was able to fool Danny Ocean's entire town into despising him.

George Clooney is known in Tinsel Town for his sometimes over-the-top practical jokes.

The pranks are sometimes so elaborate that the victims recall the torture with an air of admiration and pride.

His Monument Men co-star admitted that he was so thoroughly fooled by one scheme, that he practically had stopped eating (via OK! Magazine)

"[George] had the wardrobe department take in my wardrobe by an 1/8 an inch every other day because he knew I was trying to lose weight. I was like, 'This is weird! I've been going to the gym!...[I'd] eat a grape and be like, 'I don't understand.'"

So perhaps it serves Clooney right that his long time buddy Brad Pitt turned the entire town of Lake Como, Italy against him for a little bit of fun.

Pitt had a flier delivered to all the town's homes demanding that folks never look him directly in the eye and only refer to him by his character's name.

George told In Touch that the Italians didn't get the joke, and thought the note's stipulations were serious:

"It got into the local paper...[But the] jokes don't translate at all...they called me Il Divo!"

But don't think that Clooney can't bore you to death with his stories of third world tragedies (via OK! Magazine):

"You try to use this 'credit card' you get for being famous, and attach it to different places. Until people are able to leave refugee camps and go home, I'm going to keep doing it...

"Yes. I spent time going through the villages in Sudan and in Darfur where it wasn't enough that they killed the adults and their children."

Yeah...yeah...who hasn't?
