Instead of tracking trends through hashtags, we can track 'em through a new Steven Soderbergh play. Yes, guns will be trending in New York come Spring.
Soderbergh may be a lapsed filmmaker, but the theater world hasn't lost the giant just yet.
Case in point: Tickets are now on sale for the world premiere of The Library at Public Theater from March 27 to April 27.
Starring Chloë Grace Moretz, the play details the story of a school shooting--specifically, the survivor of one.
Which school shooting, though, you might ask? How about you pin any recent one to a wall, close your eyes and throw a dart.
Trust me, you'll hit something. It's just that damn topical.
Moretz's surviving youth is portrayed negatively in the media in the production--spinning the normal faux pas to something more, umm, original?
Potentially.
Regardless, you best check out The Library since, you know, we won't get a Soderbergh original in cinema for a very long time.
Always causing a stir, here is the director discussing that Liberace biopic.
