'Frozen' Idina Menzel and Taye Diggs Divorce Update: ‘If/Then’ On Broadway; Cheating Husband Raising Child

Frozen's Idina Menzel's new hit musical If/Then is starting its Broadway run March 4. Menzel and husband of ten years Taye Diggs are getting divorced following rampant cheating rumors, although they aren't letting it distract from raising their son.

Idina Menzel teamed up with fellow Rent alums Michael Greif and Anthony Rep to produce their new original musical If/Then, which hits Broadway at the beginning of March.

The show originally debuted in Washington, D.C. last year, but Menzel tells NY1 that t's good to be back home, where she belongs:

"To come home to New York City, my home, and to have this kind of welcoming is, it's just wonderful."

The new musical is a mid-life coming of age story about woman's second lease on life, Idina told Inquirer.net:

"It's a beautiful piece, It's 100-percent original, and it's about a woman my age who comes back from Phoenix, Arizona, to New York City, where she went to school. She's getting a chance to start over. The music is just beautiful."

Show co-creator and on time Rent cast mate Anthony Rapp told NY1 that in ways If/Then's journey mirrors their own:

"We've grown up and gone through so much, and this show is about that very thing,"

Menzel and husband of ten years Taye Diggs hit a bump in their journey together.

The couple officially announced their split late last year, but aren't letting recent differences affect their relationship with their little boy.

Taye told OK! that the little things haven't changed; they still make time to do the things they use to do:

"We cherish story time. There's something special about reading the book I wrote, Chocolate Me!...He's are the age where he gets the message of self-esteem and self-worth, and the feels good...Someone asked him if he knew what his parents did for a living. He answered, 'Uh-huh, they exercise!'"

Good to know some things won't change.
