Marvel is looking to up the action for their new movies Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier and Thor 3. The two lead 'Avengers' are getting stronger and stronger. Recently, Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth both opened up about the new powers that they want their characters to exhibit in their upcoming films.
Thor is pretty much unstoppable, and yet that hasn’t stopped Chris Hemsworth from getting greedy with the Prince of Thunder’s powers. Actually, Hemsworth wants to add a few dimensions to hopping hero's arsenal.
Thor doesn’t always have his fellow Avengers to help him out. If Thor is going to be doing it alone, he might as well go big. Hemsworth went on to add that he wants Thor to start acting like the hero he is, telling Screenrant:
"It was one of my first concerns at the beginning of the film. I said, 'look I don't want him to feel he's just doing hand to hand combat he's a God we should see him off the ground more and we should see the power of that weapon and his abilities.' So that was something we really concentrated on upping the action and the stunts and his skillset, really showcasing what he's capable of."
Hemsworth is not the only Avenger actor who wants to see his character get a big power boost. Chris Evans recently expressed an interest in turning Captain America into an action star that can rival Jason Bourne. Evans recently spoke with Marvel.com about the video game, Captian Amercia: Super Soldier, and how it inspired him to up his action for the new film:
"I love the way Cap moves [in that game]. He just beats ass. That's how this guy needs to be moving. This isn't just a guy who was given the ability of speed and power. He's been training. He's got the frame of mind to absorb this information, so you can only assume with training and his ability, the guy should really be dangerous. We show that. If Jason Bourne can do it, Cap should be flying through these things. We've had a little bit of fun kind of turning up his power, turning up his speed, and so the fights are a lot more grisly and impactful and, in my opinion, cooler. He's flipping off things and spinning off things and using his environment. It's not just punch, punch, kick, kick. That's fine, but this has to be more than The Bourne Supremacy."
