Wendy Williams Show News: Donates to Smithsonian; Breaks Down On Show

Talk show host Wendy Williams in donating some personal items to the Smithsonian, so the memory of her show may never fade. The 49-year-old mother recently admitted that her son sometimes doesn't like her anymore, before breaking down and crying on her a recent episode.

It seemed almost surreal to Wendy Williams when she donated some of her own personal things to the Smithsonian Institution last week (via NJ.com):

"I feel like it's an out-of-body experience. Going down in history. I can't believe it...Now it's someplace for my grandkids to go. Each item has sentimental value...You can't be inducted into the museum with a great conversation. Everybody knows I'm a shoe girl, everyone knows I'm from Jersey."

Though her kids may not be interested in Wendy's stuff, because they sure don't seem to care right now.

Everyone knows that raising a teenager isn't always a pleasure, and things are different for Wendy and her son Kevin.

Williams admitted to Life & Style that her relationship with her son isn't exactly ideal:

"My son gives me a hard time. He doesn't do what I ask, and he knows how to push my buttons. I don't think he likes me at times...That makes me not like him.

"I will not get lost in the pool of disrespect that I see coming from kids his age. He will not curse at me and he will never, ever roll his eyes. I will smack the black off him if he does."

Well...if things don't work out, maybe she can donate Kevin to the institute.
