Chris Evans Talks ‘Captain America 2: Winter Sodier’ New Powers After Death Rumors and Super Trailer

If you couldn't tell from the new trailer, Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier is almost here. With just a little over a month and half to go, the film's stars are opening up about the movie's plot. Chris Evans recently spoke about upping Caps powers for the new movie, as well as an intense workout routine. However, rumor has it that Evans might not survive to see Avengers 3.

In a recent interview with Marvel.com, Captain America himself, Chris Evans, talked about how the video game Captain America: Super Soldier inspired him to up the action in the new film:

"I love the way Cap moves [in that game]. He just beats ass. That's how this guy needs to be moving. This isn't just a guy who was given the ability of speed and power. He's been training. He's got the frame of mind to absorb this information, so you can only assume with training and his ability, the guy should really be dangerous. We show that. If Jason Bourne can do it, Cap should be flying through these things. We've had a little bit of fun kind of turning up his power, turning up his speed, and so the fights are a lot more grisly and impactful and, in my opinion, cooler. He's flipping off things and spinning off things and using his environment. It's not just punch, punch, kick, kick. That's fine, but this has to be more than The Bourne Supremacy."

However, Evans soon learned that it is not easy being Jason Bourne (he could've just asked Jeremy Renner). Evans went on to talk about the intense training and dancing that he had to endure for the role:

"It was a bit of a challenge but it was fun. I was excited. They put me in gymnastics classes, [and] we were doing combat stuff every day for a few months. It's a lot fun because when you get the dance down--and [that's what] it is, a dance, it's choreography--when you get the dance down you can start working on the acting. You know what I mean? You can't telegraph a block or a punch, you have to show if you've been hurt. When it's sharp, when it's neat, it just feels so good. It feels like dancing and it just looks so good.”

Wow it sounds like Captain America needs to slow down some before this job kills him. Which brings us to the rumors section of the story.

One of the latest rumors surrounding the character is that he will die in the new Avengers film. What do you think about the rumor? Let us know in the comments section below.
