By all accounts, dating Charlize Theron has had a calming effect on long-time bad boy Sean Penn; he is even forming an emotional relationship with her 2-year-old son Jackson. But the couple of all of two months have been seen fighting in public, sometimes leaving Charlize in tears.
Friends have noticed a remarkable change in Sean Penn since he started getting serious with Charlize Theron.
Someone close to the leading male told Star that Penn is ready to do things different this time around:
"Charlize brings him peace and he's making it a point to watch himself around Jackson. He wants to take care of him like he was his own son."
Sean, Charlize and son Jackson are turning into quiet the family unit o source tells Us Weekly:
"Sean has the cutest photo's of Jackson on his phone. The three of them are turning into a little family. [Charlize] held Sean's arm and cuddled up to him while Jackson colored on the kid's menu...She's so happy."
But one eyewitness describes a drastically different dinner sans Jackson that left the 38-year-old South African native in tears (via Star):
"Sean was flirting with the hostess...Charlize was seething and told him to grow up and act appropriately. She got so upset that she started sobbing at the table."
Charlize mother Gerda is afraid that more than just the dinner is going to end in tears.
An insider told Star that the hearty African has been warning her daughter not to let thing get serious since before the couple were a real item:
"The South African native if fearful that womanizing Sean will break her daughter's heart. While the protective mama bear has never minded their friendship, sources say she 'begged Charlize not to let it turn romantic.'"
But then again, good mothers never can admit they like the bad boy boyfriends.
