Nashville cast Hayden Panettiere and fiancé boxer Wladimir Klitschko seemed the perfect match protesting alongside the government opposition party in the Ukraine last year. So it come as a surprise that the pair has decided to postpone their wedding. Wladimir explained the news is due to the political climate in his home country, so the wedding won't be cancelled. It will just have to wait.
Hayden Panettiere and fiancé Wladimir Klitschko political passions both run deep.
Wladimir's brother is the leader of the opposition party in the Ukraine, which has been inadequately dealing with its population's over boiling vehemence for months.
Hayden even traveled to the Kiev with her fiancé to lend her support to the protesters (via ABC):
"The beauty of this country is breathtaking: the landscape, the beautiful churches. But nothing compares to the undeniably deep souls of the Ukrainian people. There is a movement happening here and we have a chance to make things right, to make things just. You have a right to a democracy. Your struggles and your fight is not falling on deaf ears. You are being heard. The world will hear you."
It is the growing strife in the streets and government buildings of the capitol that led Hayden and Wladimir to postpone their engagement until things improve in Klitschko's country.
The 37-year-old told Us Weekly that they couldn't have the wedding with things the way they were in his home:
"With the circumstances right now, it's hard for us to set a date...She's socially aware. She has that beauty outside, but most important, it's the beauty inside. Hayden is an amazing person."
